Description
The Desktop Server Support team provides a total solution for your server requirements. Your requirements may include the research, purchase, configuration and on-going management of server class hardware and software. Server Support provides life cycle support from procurement through disposal.
Server Support also includes:
- Provision of a server to take care of daily business requirements
- Centralization of common functions such as domains, anti-virus servers, file and print services, e-mail and database services
- Server lease package
- Offsite backups
- Domain services – provides a secure area for file storage, file sharing and backups
- Server footprint rental service – includes high level server data center
Business Value
Server Support provides cost and personnel savings. The service allows customers to focus on their business rather than on the technical aspects of the architecture. Cost savings are realized through the use of shared resources.

For those interested in self serve capabilities, an End User Desktop allows customers to submit their own tickets. The current status of existing tickets can be obtained with a Lotus Notes client at Helpdesk@nebraska.gov from a browser.
