Internet Services

Description

Internet Services provides the gateway to external Web services. This service provides high speed access and is monitored 24x7 for outages. It is a fiber-based connection to the Internet. Internet Services is packaged with any of the dedicated circuits (i.e. T1, Private DSL, 56K, LAN connectivity or TLS – see LAN/WAN Services).

Business Value

Internet Services provides cost, personnel and time savings. Cost savings are realized due to aggregation of services, centralized administration, and centralized purchasing.
Customers realize personnel savings because this service minimizes the need for personnel to trouble shoot network outages. Customers can focus on their core business. Network outages are handled in a timely manner due to the State’s volume of service and relationship with service providers.
