LAN (Local Area Network) Services provides campus communications infrastructure.

LAN Services provides cost and personnel savings. Agencies realize cost savings due to centralization of administration and purchasing. Agencies realize personnel savings because LAN Services minimizes and eliminates, in most cases, the need for personnel to support the network. The service allows customers to concentrate on their core business

LAN Services provides increased security by providing a base level of security between the Internet and the State’s network, secured/private traffic between buildings, and intrusion monitoring.

Customer Profile

State agencies, boards, and commissions are required by statute to procure services and equipment through the Office of the CIO. Other political subdivisions e.g., cities, counties, community colleges and school districts) and federal agencies have the option of utilizing this service.

For those interested in self serve capabilities, an End User Desktop allows customers to submit their own tickets.  The current status of existing tickets can be obtained with a Lotus Notes client at Helpdesk@nebraska.gov from a browser.
